Pacific Northwest Dental Center
"Teeth for a Lifetime!"
The Pacific Northwest Dental Implant Center was founded by Dr. John Hodges and Dr. Jeff Rogers with the mission of delivering the highest quality implant care at a reasonable fee and in a minimum of appointments.
All types of implant supported restorations are offered at the Center, but the emphasis is on implant supported bridges. Using CAT scans and CAD design software, the doctors are able to perform the surgery and restoration in a virtual setting prior to the actual surgery and without the patient being present. The patients entire oral structure down to the smallest detail are recreated in a computer so that the safest surgery and longest lasting restoration can be planned. Guides that allow for an exact match in placement are fabricated in Sweden by Nobel Biocare, a leader in the implant industry. The implant supported bridges are either fabricated in acrylic and titanium or gold and porcelain. They have a longevity that exceeds 20 years. Who can benefit from our proceedures?
There is so much to gain from having this procedure done. Aside from the esthetic gain and the joy of having teeth that do not have to be removed, the gain to your health is without measure. For several years the direct link between periodontal disease and heart disease has been noted. Patients who choose implant supported bridges often comment that they have more energy and that the feel like they had been fighting a cold for years that is now gone. This is a result of increased nutrient absorption due to improved chewing. In the case of patients who suffered from severe periodontal disease or tooth decay, the removal of infection and disease results in feeling better. A study released last year may hold the most significant value to this procedure. A study of life expectancy rates has shown that people with fixed dentition (either their own teeth or implant supported restorations) live an average of 7 years longer than patients without teeth or with removable dentures! More information needs to be studied regarding this data, but when you consider that our muscle control and our ability to absorb nutrients lessens with age, this data makes sense. Fixed teeth are easier to use and the increased breakdown of food improves absorption. The Package Difference
