Root Canals

federal-way-root-canaljpgOccasionally the pulp tissue (the nerve, connective tissue, and blood vessels) within a tooth may become infected or irreversibly inflamed, resulting in the need for root canal therapy. During this procedure, the affected material is removed from the inner tooth, medications are placed to remove bacteria, and a sealer is placed to protect against further infection.

Dr. Hodges can perform many root canals at his office with state-of-the-art equipment. However, certain pre-existing conditions may warrant treatment from a root canal specialist: Dr. Hodges has a network of excellent specialists to refer you to, should the need arise
